A NOTE ABOUT TV & INTERNET WEATHER REPORTING: Most TV channels and Internet weather sites incorrect list our weather as March Air Reserve Base weather, which is in Riverside, and is usually 20-30 degrees hotter in the summer, and completely off the rest of the year. ALA trail begins 4 houses away.
We do not have a lake view. E-mail me for the link to see exact instructions to get to this spot so you can see that we REALLY are close to the lake.

 

Downstairs entry level (5 steps to front door):

Living Room: Used brick fireplace with gas lighter. Great tree view from 2 large windows. Tan leather couches, Santa Fe wood furniture will give this room a mountain feel. Patio/tree view out windows.

25" flat screen TV with DVD/VCR and DVD library. Digital Cable with hundreds of channels, and books/games. We are hunting for the perfect small desk. Free Wireless/ethernet, and free local/long distance (48 states).


Bedroom 1: On main floor. Queen-sized bed. Light & bright. 1 closet. Mountain Theme & gorgeous tree view of patio.

 

Kitchen: Large, eat-in kitchen with newer appliances: Dishwasher, Trash compactor, Gas oven, Gas range, Convection Microwave, Refrigerator. Large pantry cupboard. Kitchen has all new dishes, silverware, and Wolfgang Puck pans. Dining room table seats six. Most cooking staples you will want are supplied, as well as all paper goods and dish/dishwasher detergents.

UPSTAIRS:

Master Bedroom-new Sealey pillowtop Fenway mattress set--king sized bed. Brass bedside lights to be replaced. 2 closets. Ceiling fan, tree view. Luxurious bedding.


Will have 25" TV with extended cable and DVD player. Decor coming!

This upstairs bedroom has two twin beds and a mountain theme.



 

This small upstairs bedroom has a 5 foot air hockey table in it and full-sized futon. Games, toys.

Downstairs Bath: full bath with tub enclosure. Has electric hall heater. ALL NEW copper pipes were installed in the entire house 7/06.

Upstairs Bath: full bath with tub enclosure. A little dated, but spotless!

 

 


Patio has patio table, 6 chairs, chaise lounge and natural gas BBQ grill attached to the house so you won't have to mess with propane tanks.


You can see Hwy 173 from the patio, which means we do have traffic noise during the day, that quiets down at night. Click on the photo to get a larger image. You can see the tiny car on Hwy 173.

2- car detached garage has washer/dryer inside. Detergent provided. Car remote opener. we have a steep driveway that gets a lot of sun in winter and usually is not a problem. Winter brings a new dimension to every house in Lake Arrowhead, so there is always a chance if we get a snowstorm, the driveway could be difficult.

ALA trail begins 4 houses away. We provide you with a beach club card that will allow you access to private Lake Arrowhead's trails, fishing (CA fishing license IS required), and hiking as well as our private beaches and parks. This is not the view from our home--this is 4 houses away.

Inquire about non-holiday, mid-week discounts for homeschooling families, full-time pastors, and military.

No signers under 25 years of age (inquire about exceptions for honeymooners).

A refundable damage/security deposit required with each stay, required within 7 days of making your reservation. Your check/charge is cashed/charged when you reserve and refunded/credited after our home passes inspection upon your departure. Refunded by mail/credit within 14 days (see Payment Schedule below and agreement for details). If you're serious, do not wait to make your deposit! I often have several calls for the same date on the same day, and they all sound serious! $ 300, $350 with pets
Cleaning fee for each stay. $ 85
San Bernardino County Bed Tax 7% of all lodging rate for stays less than 30 days.
Pet deposit and pet fee required. We allow 1-2 pets. This home has had both dogs and cats; if you require an allergy-free home, see our Treehouse Escape homes. We clean our carpets regularly with this pet fee. $25 per night, $175 maximum per stay
NO SMOKING, incense, or candles in our home due to high fire danger. Loss of entire damage/security deposit for violation.

Grocery shopping. Send us your list and we can have your breakfast food in the fridge for you or an entirely stocked fridge & pantry from your list. (Subject to our schedule-ask.)

Ask about specialty shopping--Anniversary/Honeymoon packages, etc.

Returned check charges apply if your check is returned.

  • $300-350 Refundable damage/security deposit to be paid within 4 days of booking by credit card. For visits within 30 days, we usually authorize your card prior to your stay for this rather than charge and refund.
  • Signed rental agreement returned by mail or e-mail within 4 days of booking.
  • 1st payment (50% of total--in addition to damage/security deposit) due 60 days prior to rental period, or upon booking, whichever is earlier.
  • 2nd payment (remaining 50%) due 30 days prior to rental period.

Check-out 11 a.m.
Sunday check-outs usually available till 3 p.m. in the summer, 6 p.m. in the winter. We avoid Sunday check-ins when possible.

We are a homeschooling family of 5. We live in Lake Arrowhead, 3 miles from our rental home, and love to share our love of the mountains with other people. Mary runs HomeschoolChristian.com and Mountains Christian Academy (a homeschooling independent study program), and Robin tutors homeschooling math students and does transcription for a day trader who publishes daily reports. We have an extensive homeschool lending library of books, videos, and DVDs if you would like to request a subject or variety to be found in our rental home while you are here. We are active in our community and our church, Mountain Reformed Church. We moved to the area in 1998 from Placentia (Orange County) and haven't looked back. We're skiers/sledders/snowboards and can give you tips. We're available by phone (noon to 9 p.m.) when you're here if you have any questions about the area.
